Melissa Willhouse

Melissa Willhouse joined ACP as Website Communications Manager in April 2023. Before joining the team, she worked as Digital Advocacy and Content Specialist for a public health organization, and Sustainability Leadership Teaching Assistant with a Johns Hopkins University graduate field course in Costa Rica. She is excited to bring her SEO skills and digital analytics experience to the organization and continue to propel ACP’s website forward.

Melissa earned her MS in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University in 2023, and her BA in Communication Studies summa cum laude from Rider University in 2018. Originally from New Jersey, Melissa loves to spend her free time surrounded by nature at the beach or in the woods. Outside of work, Melissa co-runs a non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy and education around mental health and its connections with the environment. She also enjoys photography, gardening, and baking. During the summer, Melissa works with local summer camps as an Environmental Science Specialist to bring scientific lessons and activities to the children to inspire them and educate them all at once.
